About

This is a tool to create and update implementations of the evt-solution-demos demo app, which is used to demonstrate various available consumer experiences using the EVRYTHNG Platform.

General Principles

The tool uses an Operator API Key for the account that demos will live in.
The project and application drive the demo app branding (colors, logo image etc.)
Products drive the SKU data (photo etc.).
Thngs each represent a single demo experience, and each represent a product.
Demos can be loaded from the account, as well as saved/loaded from JSON files previously exported.

Save a copy of a demo's data as a JSON file for sharing, or load a previously saved one:

Clear all fields to start from scratch, or load the example dataset.

Project

A project resource is used to scope and group all of the demo's resources together.

Application

An application resource contains the branding colors and logo information.

Colors can be either HTML color names ('black', etc.), or hex values ('#000000', etc.)

Products

Product resources are used to represent each SKU, and provide the image.

Make sure to set these up before setting up Thngs, editing will reset Thng product name and state.

A product will be ignored if the 'Name' field is blank.

Thngs

Thng resources are used to represent each demo experience. Each contains that particular demo's data.

Scroll right to view all possible extra fields that customise a particular experience (depending on 'state' chosen).
A Thng will be ignored if any of 'Thng Name', 'Menu Label', or 'Action Type' fields are blank.
Use this guide to learn how to use fields beyond 'Action Type'.
